What form of Chapter Session is planned for OPTO2017?
The Chapter Session will be in a form of a poster presentation (poster size: A1). Each chapter should prepare one to introduce their scientific club and show off your work. We plan to award a special prize for Best Chapter Poster, so we recommend to prepare an engaging one.
The Chapter session will be held during professional development day on Tuesday – 4th of July 2017.
Please inform us, if You plan to present Your section.
What kind of content should be presented during Chapter Session?
The poster should be showing chapter’s activities, past achievements and future plans. Best posters should also propose and invite to collaboration.
What is the conference fee?
The conference fee is of 100 PLN paid via bank transfer to the following bank account:

The bank transfer title should be of format: OPTO2017_Surname_Name_University
Students from organizing Universities: faculty of Mechatronics and Physics (Warsaw University of Technology), faculty of Physics (University of Warsaw) and Institute of Optoelectronics (Military Univ. of Technology) are subject to 50% discount (only 50 zł fee). Eligible participants received information via email.
What does conference fee cover?
The conference fee covers breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches, banquet and conference materials. It does NOT cover accommodation!
What is the poster size?
The poster stands are designed for A1 posters of size 594 mm x 841 mm (23.4 in x 33.1 in)
What kind of awards are planned for the conference?
We are planning to give 8 award:
- Best Presentation – 1st place
- Best Presentation – 2nd place
- Best Presentation – 3rd place
- Best Poster – 1st place
- Best Poster – 2nd place
- Best Poster – 3rd place
- Award for Best Chapter’s Poster
- Award funded by Dean of Faculty of Physics at University of Warsaw for engaging and outstanding presentation which will be inspiring for public
I need a visa to come to Poland. Can I receive an invitation letter?
